I’ve worked in a call center handling a mobile service. Most caller issues we got had to do with billing. A lot of people get their mobile service suspended because of non-payment. The irony of it is, these people get angry when their service is cut off. You didn’t pay right? This problem can be applied to credit card or loan payments. This is one reason why creditors do not listen. You have the responsibility of paying for what you owe. You might think that the credit you are using to buy a dress is yours but it really isn’t. You might think that the money you loaned to buy a car is yours but it isn’t. The money you used to buy that car and dress belongs to the creditor. The creditor allowed you to buy the car and dress because both of you had an agreement. The agreement is for the creditor to loan you money and for you to pay back that money at a fixed, periodic time and rate.
Responsibility and honesty are very important virtues that creditors look for. Unfortunately, most people think they can bully their way to getting what they want. So the mobile subscriber refuses to pay the bill that is two months over due unless the service is restored. That mobile subscriber has a lot of arrogance to make stipulations. You already owe money and yet you make demands. Of course, the service provider refuses. The result of the subscriber’s arrogance ends in the cancellation of the service by the subscriber. With most mobile providers, there is a certain charge for canceling a contract. Instead of managing to put their affairs in order, they instead lose more in the process. If you owe money, you owe money. There are no buts about owing money. Pay your bills on time. If the subscriber had a cooler head, he might have been able to make a partial payment to get the service back online and pay the remaining balance later. His credit report will show that he pays his debts. The creditors will say that he deserves to be given a loan. A loan is a loan. You must repay the loan. It will be you who suffers in the end when you find out that there isn’t a creditor in the world who will loan you money. Most people assume that since they are in debt then there is nothing they can do to resolve the problem. You asked for those loans. You should have had an idea in the first place about payment procedures. If you think your debts are too big for you, see a credit counselor. This people have extensive knowledge and experience in helping others to restructure their finances which allows them to pay off their debt on time and even reduce them. Your being in debt is no one’s fault but yourself. In the end, it will be you who has to resolve these issues. You may ask or look for help and advice, but it will be you who needs to work on it. |
